Munaf Patel and the Priyanka Chopra connection...

Question: What is the connection between Munaf Patel and Priyanka Chopra?
Answer: Saat Khoon Maaf

Read the news that Munaf Patel took a break from training and went to watch Vishal Bhardwaj's Saat Khoon Maaf movie with his family last Thursday. But, he was called back from the theatre to watch Ireland's match against England which Ireland won.

When Munaf Patel was questioned about this incident, he responded saying "I was called back to the hotel to watch Ireland. I saw only two murders in the theatre, but ended up watching many more during the Ireland-England game".

PJ:
Why is Munaf Patel working overtime and training alone in the nets?
Answer: So that he would get a comp off to watch Priyanka Chopra murder the rest of the five husbands in the movie Saat Khoon Maaf.

Kevin Pietersen's Palti Hit / Switch Hit - Pepsi's Change the Game shot

With the start of 2011 World Cup cricket, Pepsi started a new campaign called "Change The Game" showcasing out-of-the-box cricket moves that are not text-book and yet help achieve the ultimate goal.

In a series of posts to come, we'll showcase the shots that "Change the Game"....

Lets start with Kevin Pietersen's Palti Hit - his switch hit shot....

Kevin Pietersen's famous Switch Hit shot

Kevin Pietersen is England's best batsman in recent years.  The flair, the confidence, the arrogance and the rebel streak in him is what sets him apart from other players and all of it was on ample display on 15th June, 2008 in a match against New Zealand. Scott Styris, the unfortunate bowler could have hardly anticipated it coming. This was the first time Pietersen unleashed his new weapon - the Switch hit or Palti Hit....

When Scott Styris bowled to Pietersen, he switched the grip, hoped a bit and settled as what a left hander stance would be, all in one motion, and thrashes Styris’ delivery for a six over deep cover, the deep cover to a right hander’s stance to be precise.  He did it again in Styris' next over too.
Take a look at this video.

Because Pietersen not only reversed his hand positions, but changed his stance by rotating his body, these "switch-hit" shots were immediately followed by calls to outlaw them from the game but ICC ruled it in favour of the batsman.
