Sachin Tendulkar - The name none of cricket lovers would forget... the man who has achieved almost everything in the cricket field.. the latest one being the dream he has been chasing for six times - The ICC Cricket World Cup...

Sachin Tendulkar was instrumental in India's ODI progress over the past two decades and it seemed to be just a matter of time when India would win a World cup with him, but he had to wait six times playing in World Cups before India could win it and what a win it was!

India beat Sri Lanka in Mumbai and became the World champions in ODI crick on 2nd April, 2011.
Almost all the Indian players dedicated the victory to Sachin Tendulkar....

“It’s the ultimate thing and I’m experiencing it,” Tendulkar said. “I couldn’t have asked for anything better. It’s the proudest moment of my life.”

Sachin Tendulkar - IAF's honorary Group Captain....

Sachin Tendulkar - the Indian batting maestro - might have won quite a lot of awards and accolades throughout his career.. but none better than this one...

Sachin Tendulkar received the honorary rank of Group Captain of the Indian Air Force from Air Chief Marshal P.V. Naik on September 3rd, 2010.

Sachin was conferred with the Indian Air Force's honorary rank of Group Captain to honour his cricketing achievements and contribution to the nation...

With this award, Sachin became the first sportsperson to receive honorary rank of Group Captain of the Indian Air Force.
